Are you a Filipino/Filipina EduBlogger?

After a 40-day hiatus, I’m back again and this time, I want to start by building a network of 21st century edubloggers.

If you try searching about Filipino Education Blog on Google, you would get a result like the following:

Try going over each of the websites and you would find that most of the blogs are just news and announcements about the schedule and results of the licensure exams for teachers. Although I came across the website PinoyTeachersNetwork, I still can’t find the niches I’m looking for. So does that mean no Filipino Educator blogs about teaching and learning? This becomes tricky then as to what particular terms I shall be using for my next Google Search to get the desired result. Perhaps I should try the term “Guro” next time. What do you think?

Since we are now in the century wherein modern technology is almost ubiquitous, I believe that Filipino educators should blog more on how they teach in their classrooms, especially with the use of technology. I remember some years ago that whenever you’ll be starting a blog, you should define your niche first. For instance, my niche in this blog is about educational technology. I teach undergraduate education students how to integrate technology in their respective fields of teaching.

Other examples of niches (or themes) are the following:

  • Elementary/Primary
  • Filipino/English/Language Arts
  • Foreign Languages
  • History/Social Studies
  • Mathematics/Sciences
  • Technology Education
  • Art, Music and Theater
  • Special Education
  • Library Education

Surely, there can be other or more specific niches or themes. So why not start connecting now to share ideas, right?

So if you are a Filipino/Filipina Educator or Student-Teacher who blogs about teaching (e.g. subject-specific, strategies, integration, preschool/elementary/secondary/higher ed, etc.) then connect with me (and the rest of the Pinoy Edubloggers) by posting on the comments section of this blogpost the name & URL of your blog and its niche/theme. If you just blog purely about news, then you are NOT qualified for the criteria. Some (if not all) edubloggers links shall be shown in my presentation about EduBlogging at iBlog8: The 8th Philippine Blogging Summit. πŸ™‚

Spread the link love and keep those links coming!

Thanks in advance Filipino/Filipina EduBloggers! πŸ™‚
